A geotechnical report may be required during the course of some development applications to confirm that the land may be used safely for the use intended without an undue risk of hazards. The report shall be prepared at the cost of the applicant by a professional engineer registered in British Columbia with qualifications and experience in geotechnical engineering. The guidelines below are designed to assist residents when a geotechnical report is required.
For assistance in completing a geotechnical report, please contact the District Office at 250-390-4006 if you'd like to set up an appointment with the District's Community Planner.
